Meeting minutes:

Call to order by Commandant Ken Morgan.

Quarters secured by Frank Halpenny.

Frank Halpenny led in the pledge of allegiance.

Don Bradley led in prayer.

Frank Halpenny declared meeting open for official business.

17members in attendance: George Arata, Don Bradley, Gearge Carlisle, John Edgecombe, Frank Halpenny, Buddy Hinson, Danny Kingsley, John Kingsley, John Kingsley Jr., Bill Lamar, John Lamb,  Ken Morgan, W.C. Maples, Floyd Robertson, Andy Shook, and Walter Stanley.

OLD BUSINESS

1.

Membership at this time was 46 members, 42in good standing. New members are: Walter Stanley.

2.

Ken Morgan provided financial report. As of this meeting - Checking Account current balance is $368.01.

3.

Minutes from February meeting were read by Andy Shook and accepted by the membership.

4.

No VA visitation due to weather.

5.

There will be a Breakfast to be held at the American Legion March 8th : 8am-9am.

NEW BUSINESS

1.

Congratulations to John Edgecombe, elected as Jr. Vice Commandant State of Mississippi.

2.

Nominations for Detachment Officers were requested.  Officers are:

Donations were collected for American Legion painting.

Committee was formed to coordinate Det. colorguard. W. C. Maples was appointed O.I.C.
